Our Story
Villaume Engineering was founded on a simple but powerful belief: that every problem has a solution waiting to be discovered. For over thirty years, Edward Villaume has approached engineering challenges with a rare combination of creativity, technical rigor, and practical business sense.
Edward's career spans more than a dozen industries — from medical devices and consumer products to architecture and automotive safety. This breadth of experience is not accidental. It reflects a deliberate philosophy: that the best innovations often emerge at the intersection of disciplines, where a solution from one field illuminates a problem in another.
That philosophy has produced five U.S. patents and counting. Each patent represents not just a technical achievement, but a real-world solution to a genuine human need — safer roads, quieter environments, better emergency lighting, and more.
Today, Villaume Engineering continues to push boundaries in health & fitness, revolutionary training technology, manufacturing, land mine elimination, and sustainable energy — always with the same commitment to functionality, cost-effectiveness, and innovation that has defined the firm from the start.
History
At the very young age of five, Edward Villaume utilized his intuitive skills to take things apart and fix them, rewire phone and electrical sockets, mystifying his mother, grandparents, and friends. He would often simply state, "Why can't I fix it; someone will, why not me." His undiagnosed dyslexic mind was flourishing in many ways, yet causing difficulties in school.
With no formal engineering training, Edward Villaume begins working with and consulting with engineers on their projects, developing a reputation for creative problem-solving across multiple industries.
US 9,314,664 awarded for Bicycle Seat and Handlebar Mechanisms — the first of five U.S. patents granted to Edward Villaume.
Two patents awarded in the same year: Emergency Light Devices (US 9,832,849) and Programmable Noise Reduction (US 9,786,262).
US 10,089,973 granted for an advanced Programmable Noise Reducing, Deadening, and Cancelation system.
US 10,367,934 awarded for Motor Vehicle Safe Driving & Operating Devices — a landmark innovation in automotive safety technology.
Focused on health & fitness, revolutionary video game training, manufacturing innovations, land mine elimination, and energy solutions.
